food glorious food

We’ve been working on some lovely top secret Christmas projects recently with our food photographers – we can’t show you any of that work of course – but grab a snack, and settle down to drool over these examples of Susan Bell, Mowie Kay and Con Poulos‘s  tasty work to whet your appetite!

Do get in touch if you’d like to see more work, or find out about availability of any of our artists.

Mark Harrison in Portrait of Britain 2018 nationwide exhibition

Congratulations to Mark Harrison for his third win in the Portrait of Britain Competition.  We love this double portrait of Mark’s, which is one of the 100 winning entries into the 2018 Portrait of Britain competition. The work will be exhibited on JCDecaux screens nationwide from the 1st Sept, on bus stops, high streets and in train stations, as part of the biggest exhibition of contemporary portraiture ever held.

We can’t wait to see it on billboards around the UK, as well as seeing it in the book which will be available from Hoxton Mini Press. Books can be pre ordered here: http://www.portraitofbritain.uk/pre-order-book/ and you can see the full set of winners and shortlist here: http://www.portraitofbritain.uk/

Winner winner!

Congratulations to Tom Parker for winning  the “InterContinental Food at the Table”  at The Pink Lady Food Photography Awards last week – one of our favourite nights of the year (thanks to Tattinger and the fab Caroline Kenyon).  Great to see Tom’s work up on the wall and you can see all the finalists and his winning work here:

We’re looking forward to next years competition already!

Pink Lady time again

It’s that time of year again – and this year both Tom Parker and Susan Bell are both up for a prize, but in different categories (phew).  We can’t wait until next week when the winners are announced at our favourite event of the year.  Keep your fingers crossed for both of them!

Portrait of Britain – Mark II

For the second year running we’re delighted to announce that Mark Harrison has a portrait in the BJP Portrait of Britain outdoor digital exhibition, choosen as one of 100 from 8000 entries.  In partnership with Nikon, the photography giant, Portrait of Britain aims to show the social and cultural diversity of people in the UK and showcase everyday citizens and unsung heroes. Simon Bainbridge, Editorial Director at the British Journal of Photography, was excited about the latest portraits for 2017, saying, “Collectively, the portraits celebrate the unique heritage and diversity of modern Britain, as much as its thriving photography culture and the myriad styles and approaches they employ in their work.”

Mark’s portrait of Rebecca Bunce was commissioned by Stylist Magazine  and you can see it here online or look out for it on JCDecaux screens in shopping centres and commuter hubs around the country throughout September.
