January already?

We really needed our Christmas break this year as we finished off 2016 with a 3 days shoot for a new beauty client with Susan Bell and started 2017 with a 4 day shoot for David Boni with another new – this time pharmaceutical – client.  It’s only halfway through the month and we’ve already been out and about with the portfolios and treats for hungry browsers and had a creative PPM at the top of an unfinished skyscraper with Mowie Kay.  So all in all 2017 really started  with a bang for us – and we hope it has for you too.

Looking forward to working with old and new clients again this year – and do let us know if you’d like to book us in to  come into your office to show you portfolios and bring you cake…

Portrait of Britain x 3

We were delighted to see that three of Mark Harrison’s portraits: Nadiya Hussain, William Parr and Stephen Hawking were all chosen to be in the final 100 for The BJP Portrait of Britain competition. The images can be seen til the end of September on JCDecaux’s digital network of screens in railway stations, shopping centres, high streets and bus stops around the UK. You can also see them here: http://gallery.portraitofbritain.uk/

Mark was also talking about his entries on BBC Radio London with (l to r) Dylan Collard photographer, Jo Good – presenter and previous photographic subject of Mark’s, Simon Bainbridge of the BJP, and  Mark Harrison.simon-bainbridge-editorial-director-of-the-british-journal-of-photography-photographers-mark-harrison-and-dylan-collard nadiya-master hawking2 new-bill-parr

Mark Harrison’s latest book cover

Our intrepid Mr Harrison recently jetted off to the south of France to shoot these lovely portraits of Geraint Thomas (MBE) for a forthcoming book cover. geraint-thomas copy 2015_08_06_Geraint_Thomas_213-1 2015_08_06_Geraint_Thomas_065 2015_08_06_Geraint_Thomas_585

#InLucidsWindow

Today we drew back the curtain to unveil Con Poulos as this months artist #InLucidsWindow .

Opting for a refreshing Ice Lolly and a Pina Colada image, we hope it puts all our visitors and neighbours in the mood for Summer.

The other side of the camera

Mark Harrison was photographing an author in Frankfurt last week, who has written a rather lovely description of what it is like to be on the other side of the lens*.  It’s absolutely worth a read for the quality of the writing, but it also encapsulates all the elements that we think make Mark such a brilliant portrait photographer – makes us feel quite proud of working with him!
