Susan Bell is a food and lifestyle photographer/director, working in both stills and moving image, and based in the UK. After a peripatetic childhood – moving from Scotland to Japan, then Australia – Susan chose to study photography in Paris but that led to working in television. After a successful few years of TV, Susan was drawn back into shooting stills as well.
Creative and energetic, Susan loves exploring new places and in particular loves photographing the “field to fork” journey for food. Susan’s beautiful, almost painterly, photographic style has a nordic feel, and recent book and film shoots have included PewDie Pie, Jack Monroe and Amelia Freer’s latest recipe book.
Susan also directs film – and especially enjoys working on stop frame and recipe shoots.
